Okay, so I just finished my very first multimedia piece. It was about the story of JD Williams, an army war veteran who lost three of his limbs due to an explosion in Iraq in 2010. He's a really cool person and I was really excited to get to know him and his story. This was my first attempt at audio and final cut, however, so I'm definitely going to continue documenting his story and working on it. Then, when I get a little bit better at this multimedia business I'll share the entire piece. But for now, here are some stills I took of him. More of JD's story to come!

Here are some shots I got this past week that I kind of liked. I feel like I've been doing a really stellar job of using unnecessarily high ISOs so that's something I need to start taking more seriously. But otherwise I had fun shooting. :)

I haven't posted anything in so long, I've been so busy! So here is a really big post of a bunch of the work I've done so far this semester--enjoy! :)

I got to help shoot the Miss Kentucky and Miss Kentucky Teen pageant at Van Meter Hall in Bowling Green this weekend. I feel like it's the first biggish thing I've been able to shoot--it was a lot of fun. I've never been around the pageant world before so it was totally new to me. But I met some pretty awesome people and really enjoyed it.

This week I got to go to North Carolina with the fam for some skiing, snowboarding and, of course, shooting! In my mind, I had these lovely ideas of snowboards flying through the air with a great blue sky in the background; however, it ended up being insanely foggy so that didn't happen. But that was okay! I had fun playing around with the fog anyway. Here are some of the shots I liked.
